How AI Agents Work

Shoptera provides specialized AI optimization agents that you run through your own AI assistant — Claude Code, ChatGPT, or any MCP-compatible client. You choose which products to optimize and which agents to use. Shoptera supplies the tools (product data access, crawling scripts, validation) and your AI does the processing. Results come back as suggestions you review in your dashboard.

The agent workflow

Connect your AI assistant

Set up the Shoptera Merchant MCP server in your Claude Code, ChatGPT, or other AI client. Your AI gets access to optimization tools for all your projects.

Tell your AI what to optimize

Ask your AI naturally — e.g. "Run title optimization on my-shop" or "Find missing GTINs in baby-centrum". Your AI calls the right tools and agents run on your side.

Agents return suggestions with confidence scores

Each agent produces suggestions with calibrated confidence scores (0–100%). Your AI sends results back to Shoptera and they appear in your Inbox.

You review in Activity

Suggestions appear in Activity with before/after diffs. Approve, reject, or let auto-approve handle the high-confidence ones.

Feed updates automatically

Approved changes merge into your product data and appear in your next marketplace feed export.

The AI agents

Confidence scores

Every suggestion carries a confidence score from 0 to 100%. Scores are calibrated honestly — a 90% confidence means the agent is wrong roughly 10% of the time. You can set an auto-approve threshold so high-confidence suggestions are applied automatically, while lower ones wait for your review.

Start with auto-approve at 95% and lower it gradually as you see how accurate agents are for your specific catalog.
